How we started…

Since 1986, Hollywood Outdoor Living has been a cornerstone of the Birmingham community, providing families with high-quality outdoor living products and services. Founded as Hollywood Pools, our journey began with a simple mission: to help families create and maintain their perfect backyard oasis. As a family-owned and operated business, we have always prioritized building lasting relationships with our customers by offering top-tier products and reliable, expert service.

Where we’ve been…

In 2000, we expanded our offerings, acquiring Casual & Custom Furniture to introduce a curated selection of luxury outdoor furniture. This pivotal moment allowed us to provide a more complete backyard solution. Following a period of significant growth, we relocated to our current, state-of-the-art facility in 2005 to better serve our growing customer base. In 2018, we further solidified our commitment to excellence in pool and spa services by acquiring Alabama Pools, expanding our capacity to provide comprehensive pool cleaning, pool repair, and custom pool renovation.

Where we’re going…

In March 2021, we acquired Alabama Gaslight & Grill, a 52-year-old company that offered gas and charcoal grills, luxury lighting, as well as fireplace products and accessories. In 2022, the companies completed a rebranding and chose our new name: Hollywood Outdoor Living.

Today, we are proud to be Birmingham, Alabama's premier destination for high-end outdoor furniture, custom pools and spas, professional pool services, and a full range of BBQ grills and outdoor heating solutions. Our evolution from a local pool shop to a complete outdoor living provider reflects our dedication to helping you create the backyard of your dreams.
